Conference Announcement and Call for Papers
Join us for a fast-paced, two-day conference covering current aspects of telecommunications and information technology.
- National speakers will lead plenary sessions:
- Dick Anderson, President of Marketing BellSouth
- James Gantt, Deputy Director Army Research Labs
- William Brundage, Commissioner for the New Economy for Kentucky
- Samuel Postlethwait, Professor Emeritus, Purdue University

- Developing a Process for the Accreditation of Telecommunication Programs
All Academic Programs in the U.S. should be represented

Conference Tracks with Paper Presentations and Discussions, including:
- Network Security, includes two hour seminar by University of Louisville's Center for Terrorism looking at the National Information Infrastructure including terrorism issues, government, business, and industrial network protection
- Mobile Computing, The present and future of this vast industry
- Telecommunications Policy, including state and federal legislative proposals and corporate issues
- Telecommunications in E-Commerce/E-Business Applications, including public and private sector issues
- Geographic Information Systems, including GIS applications in telecommunications, state planning, integrating GIS into the classroom
- Telecommunications in Economic Development, including emerging trends in e-business, unique uses of telecommunications by economic development districts, how states are integrating telecommunications and economic development
- Education, including teaching telecommunications, program development, teaching information security, handling certifications, dealing with online course delivery issues
- Student Section, papers on any research or project application are invited
- Inquiries about topics not related to the above tracks are welcomed!

Submissions:
Paper submissions should be no longer than 20 double-spaced pages (including references and any exhibits), with one-inch margins all around. Papers should follow Journal of Marketing style (e.g., works cited as (Mueller 2001) and must be in Microsoft Word format. At least one author of an accepted paper must present the paper at the conference. Authors should state whether they want the entire paper or an abstract to be published in the conference proceedings. Submissions are due February 28, 2003.
