Ms. Lee is an adjunct faculty of Cello and Bass at Murray State University in KY.  Ms. Lee received her Master’s degree and Artist Diploma at the University of Cincinnati, College- Conservatory of Music and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree under the direction of Yehuda Hanani. Cellist Sunhaeng Lee enjoys a career performing in Rumania, Germany, South Korea, Japan, and the United States. Ms. Lee appeared as soloist with Black Sea Festival Orchestra in Romania and Czech Prague Symphony Orchestra in South Korea at the age of Seventeen. A native of Korea, Ms. Lee started playing cello when she was eight. Ms. Lee served as principal cellist for the Hanyang University Orchestra and won chamber music competitions during her college years at Hanyang University in Korea. She has participated in numerous master classes conducted by renowned cellist Jens Peter Mainz, Jian Wang and others. Also, she has made lots of solo recitals and chamber recitals during her Master and AD in Cincinnati. Recently, she performed as a soloist with JS Ensemble and as a cellist at Salon 21 concerts series 2015-2016 in Cincinnati OH. As an active chamber musician, Ms. Lee has participated in the 28th Kirishima International Music Festival in Japan, where she performed with well-Known cellist Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi. She was invited to the young artist program at the Manchester Music Festival. Also her love for Baroque music has led her to learn Baroque Cello, the period instrument, and she enjoys performing it as well.
