Q&A
Who is your favorite professor and why?
My favorite professor is Dr. Debra Erikson because she has always given me so much encouragement and support. Dr. Erikson has inspired me to better myself for the sake of my future students. She is extremely intelligent and really cares about her students.
What do you think makes the city of Murray special?
The community of Murray is something that has always struck me as very unique. Everyone
in the community comes together to support the university, which is something they
are obviously very proud of. Whether its All Campus Sing or Racer Basketball, MSU
seems to bring out the support of the people in the community.
If you could spend an hour with anyone, who would it be and why? What would you ask
them?
My favorite actress, Audrey Hepburn. I think Audrey was underrated in her talent and
charitable endeavors. She seemed to be a very humble woman with a huge heart for helping
those who are less fortunate. I would ask her what was her favorite movie to film
and I would ask her why she was so passionate about helping others.
What advice would you give high school students about college?
College is a great place to put yourself out there and have fun! Stay organized, complete work ahead of time, get involved and make the most of your college experience.
What three things could you not live without?
I could not live without coffee, my planner, or my iphone.
What is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book was the Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank. It is a book that I often think of when I feel down and I remember
how positive young Anne was, despite all of her adversity. It continues to give me
fresh perspective on life and helps me remember that my circumstances are never as
bad as they seem.
What is your favorite quote?
"No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care." — Theodore Roosevelt
Caisey says:
As soon as I visited Murray State University for the first time I knew this was where I wanted to go to school. I could tell this was where I would learn the most as well as get the best experiences with extra-curricular clubs and activities such as Newman Center and Racer. The Regents Scholarship has allowed me to focus on my academics and acitivities without the stress of financial issues.
