IGNITION:  RECENT PAINTINGS AND DRAWINGS BY JASON STOUT

Murray State University’s Department of Art & Design and University Galleries are pleased to present IGNITION, recent paintings and drawings by University of Tennessee at Martin professor Jason Stout. These works were selected from Stout’s “Cloud Composition Series” and will be on display from January 9 through February 17, 2021 in the Clara M. Eagle Main Gallery.

“Stout’s Cloud Composition Series deals with conflict and turbulence as well as notions of political strife and reflect on instigators, misinformation, vices, struggle, and perceptions of living in the south. Go ahead and sprinkle a lot of amped up, spiced color with a little reconfiguring of cultural icons and play with visual metaphors that analyze the narrative of existence in our modern time in there too.” — T. Admission is free and open to the public.  Social distancing and mask protocols are required.
