Are the types of assessments that your students received the best measures for determine whether or not they are able to achieve the learning objectives?
Alternative assessments (other than the traditional ‘pen’ and ‘pencil’ formats) are often required as valid measures for assessing students' mastery of certain learning objectives. Objective-type assessment formats such as multiple-choice are not always adequate, and students' mastery of certain objectives may need to be assess by using alternative assessments. In this session, participant will:
•Review different types of alternative assessments
•Design an alternative assessment for certain learning objectives
