The Murray State University Department of Art & Design and the University Galleries present “Rock, Paper, Scissors,” the BFA exhibit in graphic design by Sara Hutson, on view in the Clara M. Eagle Upper Gallery from Nov. 17 through Dec. 1, 2017.

Hutson, a senior from Lexington, Kentucky, is the recipient of a Presidential Fellowship and has participated in the following exhibitions: "The Small Things," "On-Site Drawings: Italy 2016" and "Foundations Shows" in 2015 and 2014. She is the daughter of Lisa Waller.

The artwork in “Rock, Paper, Scissors” features both figural and landscape art that is drawn with graphite on paper, scanned, shifted to book format and then bound in the stab-binding style.

About her work and future plans, Hutson writes: I plan on publishing this set of novels, then continuing to a much larger novel. I am considering a master’s degree in a school in Florence, Italy, after working in the graphic design field.

The reception for “Rock, Paper, Scissors” will be held Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Clara M. Eagle Gallery.

Admission is free and open to the public.
