The religious studies program (RGS) hosts a series of Brown Bag Lunch Discussions based around TED talk videos. November's discussion is led by Dr. Duane Bolin (department of history) and will focus on the TED talk, "Why would God create a tsunami?" (2005).
TED talk summary: In the days following the tragic South Asian tsunami of 2004, the Rev. Tom Honey pondered the question, "How could a loving God have done this?"
All talks are free and open to the Murray State community. Bring your own lunch and be willing to engage in thoughtful discussion.
The series is an independently organized event. TED holds all rights to TED talk videos and does not endorse this program.
The religious studies program is housed in the department of history. For more information on the program, please contact Dr. Christine Lindner (email@example.com).
