The KYOTE Placement Exams will be administered in Business Building 201 on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, to students seated for the exam between 1–3 p.m.
These are placement exams; they are not challenge exams for credit in any course. The purpose of the three KYOTE Placement Exams is to determine placement in the following courses: MAT 095, MAT 096, MAT 097, MAT 115, MAT 117, MAT 120, MAT 130, MAT 135, MAT 140, MAT 145, MAT 150, MAT 215, MAT 220, MAT 230 and MAT 250. They are useful for anyone with no ACT or SAT scores as well as for students who have taken additional coursework since they last took the ACT or SAT exam.
The KYOTE Exams are free. Each placement exam takes less than an hour; depending upon your score on an exam, you might be directed to take an additional KYOTE Exam. You may be seated in BB 201 to begin the exam anytime between 1 and 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018.
Practice exams are available at http://www.kyote.org upon registration for a placement account at that site. FireFox or Chrome should be used if taking the computer-generated practice exams.
