Brummer Psychology Colloquium: Dr. Ryan Vendrey, 'Applying Psychological Science to Address Urgent Needs Amid Cannabis Policy Changes'

The Dr. and Mrs. Gary Brummer Colloquium Series in Psychology is pleased to present Dr. Ryan Vandrey, associate professor of psychology, psychiatry and behavioral science at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Vandrey will be giving a colloquium talk entitled "Applying Psychological Science to Address Urgent Needs Amid Cannabis Policy Changes.

Abstract: Policy related to the legalization and regulation of cannabis use is rapidly evolving. Psychological science has a key role in informing these changes. Dr. Vandrey will discuss human laboratory, clinical and observational studies he has recently conducted and discuss the needs of broader scientific work from psychologists in this area.

This presentation is free and open to the public. One hour of continuing education credit (free of charge) is available for professionals through Murray State's department of psychology, which is approved by the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology (KBEP) to sponsor continuing education for credential holders. The department of psychology at Murray State maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
