Search Instructions

Welcome to the Hancock Biological Station (HBS) botanical collection search page!
From this page you may search the teaching collection housed at HBS.

Search instructions are as follows: the more specific your search (i.e. the more fields filled in), the more specific the search returns will be. You can select search items from the drop-down list boxes and/or search on multiple full or partial words in text boxes.

If you would like to see a list containing all specimens in the collection click here or scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Search" without specifying any search criterion.

If you would like to search on specific fields such as genus, accession number, year, or others, scroll to the bottom and specify your search.

NO FIELDS ARE REQUIRED - YOU MAY SEARCH ON ANY OF THE PROVIDED FIELDS OR NONE AT ALL.Keep in mind that some searches may take several minutes to return results depending on your connection speed and the number of records returned.

Specimens in this collection are representative of those found on Hancock Biological Station grounds (Calloway County, KY) and the Elk and Bison Prairie in Land Between The Lakes (Trigg County, KY).

Duplicate specimens are on file at the Berea College Herbarium, Berea, KY.
