Master of Science Degree

Kentucky’s only Program of Distinction of its kind and is one of few in the nation. The program is offered online and students must complete ten graduate courses (30 credit hours) broken into 24 hours of required courses (8 courses) and six hours of electives (2 courses). The flow chart below shows how the core courses work together to develop the competencies of the TSM graduate. TSM 680 is the capstone course for the M.S. in TSM.

This program emphasizes the of use project management techniques involving the technical, financial, and managerial aspects of developing an integrated communications network solution that meets voice, data and video requirements.

This graduate program is offered completely on-line as well as on the MSU campus. This will provide the flexibility for you in the work place to participate in this graduate program wherever you are.

Curriculum

TSM Required Courses (24 hrs.)

To graduate from the TSM graduate program, all students must take the following 8 graduate courses (24 hours) and an extra two electives (6 hours). See electives listed below. It is a 30 credit-hour program. Note: ACC 604 and MGT 651 have prerequisites that are not included in the 30 hours.

  • TSM 630: Telecommunications Legal Environment: Law, Policy and Regulation

  • ACC 604: Quantitative Financial Controls (ACC 490)
  • MGT 651: Seminar in Organizational Behavior (MGT 350)
