The residential colleges will be closing for the Thanksgiving break on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 9am. The colleges will reopen on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 2pm.

Lee Clark, Regents and White are our three 10-month facilities and will remain open for students needing housing during this time.

Current residents of Lee Clark, Regents and White will be allowed to remain in their current room; however, residents must submit this form, notifying the Housing Office of their intentions of remaining on campus during the interim period.

Residents of Richmond Hall (Elizabeth), Franklin, Hart, Hester, James H. Richmond and Springer will be asked to relocate to a temporary assignment in another facility. Residents of these colleges will not have access to their regularly assigned room during the Thanksgiving break. It is not necessary for residents to take all of their personal items with them to their temporary room; however, residents are encouraged to take everything they might need during the break (i.e. clothes, food, laptop, books, medicines, etc.).

1) Our ability to provide interim housing is contingent upon the availability of space. In addition to submitting this form, it is recommended that you also explore other interim housing alternatives, such as staying with family or friends who live off-campus, just in case there are no available spaces on-campus.

2) Accepting a key and/or signing an interim key card constitutes binding acceptance of this interim housing agreement. The student shall be responsible for payment of $12 per night that they have indicated they will be staying on-campus during the interim period.

3) You must follow all University policies and regulations as you would during the school year. Failure to do so will result in you being asked to vacate the premises.

4) The Housing Office does require your room to be cleaned and trash emptied upon checking-out of your temporary interim assignment. Failure to do so will result in a $25 cleaning charge being assessed to your student account. (Does not apply to current residents of Lee Clark, Regents and White.)

5) At the conclusion of your stay you will be expected to check-out ot your temporary room by leaving your key with a staff member at the front desk of your temporary facility. You will be expected to sign an interim key card indicating that you are returning your temporary room key. (Does not apply to current residents of Lee Clark, Regents and White.)

6) Failure to properly check-out with a staff member will result in a $25 failure to check-out fee and a $75 lock change fee being assessed to your student account. (Does not apply to current residents of Lee Clark, Regents and White.)

7) Students staying on-campus during the interim period must be enrolled in the University.

8) If you are employed by the University and will be working over the interim period, your supervisor will need to contact the Housing Office confirming your work status - msu.housing@murraystate.edu.
