Bridge Program
The Bridge component helps Upward Bound high school seniors navigate that sometimes difficult transition from high school to college. The Bridge component provides assistance with college admissions and financial aid processes, offers workshops focusing on college preparedness, exposes students to different college campuses, and matches students with university based mentors. During the Summer Program, Bridge students who meet Murray State's entrance requirements may enroll in up to seven hours of college level courses at Murray State University, which include ENG 105 and COM 161. All expenses are paid by Upward Bound. In addition to taking college courses, Bridge participants are placed in a work study position based their career interests.
