International education at Murray State University involves all aspects of academic and campus life: teaching, residential living, special programs and events, relations with other institutions at home and abroad, student and scholar services, study abroad programs, and English as a Second Language study and activities.

As the university’s central focal point for international education, the Institute for International Studies directly provides support for international students and scholars, MSU students studying abroad, international visits, and community education.

The ESL Program at Murray State University emphasizes language proficiency in all skill and knowledge areas (speaking, listening, writing, reading, and grammar) and provides students with an overview of American culture.
