Certain Murray State University scholarships require the recipients to complete service hours for three years (or six semesters). The following scholarships require service hour completion:

Trustee Scholarship

Regents Scholarship

Provost Scholarship

Marvin D. Mills Scholarship

Gold Diversity Scholarship

Blue Diversity Scholarship

John W. Carr Scholarship (if award was made prior to fall 2009)

Presidential Scholarship (if award was made prior to fall 2009)

The above named scholarships are renewable and all recipients must complete a total of 130 service hours per academic year in addition to other scholarship requirements for renewal. First-time scholarship recipients will be asked to complete a service hour survey to identify their interests/talents in order to be placed in an appropriate department on campus.

Once assigned to a service hour location, students are expected to remain at that location each semester unless an official request is made to the office of Financial Aid/Scholarship by a department or the student.
