Presidential Fellowship

January 15. Students must submit all admission and scholarship applications and documents by the deadline.

Who is eligible

Graduating high school seniors with a minimum of 28 ACT composite score (or minimum of 1250 SAT Verbal and Math Combined Score ) AND a 3.7 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale

Selection Information

Students meeting the minimum requirements will be invited to Murray State’s Honors Day on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Honors Day will give students a chance to learn more about the programs on Murray State’s campus geared towards high-achieving students, including the University’s Honors Program. Students attending Honors Day will also write essays and attend group interviews. Based upon application materials, essays, and group interviews, a select group of the students who attend Honors Day will be invited back for final Presidential Fellowship interviews on Monday, March 4, 2013. Students must attend Honors Day to be considered for the Presidential Fellowship.

Presidential Fellowships cover the cost of tuition, on-campus housing, and the required freshman meal plan. The fellowship is awarded for four consecutive years (summers excluded) or until receipt of first bachelor’s degree. In order for the fellowship to be renewed yearly, recipients must maintain a 3.2 cumulative GPA, participate in the Honors Program, and participate in research in the appropriate academic discipline. Presidential Fellowships cannot be combined with any other MSU scholarships.
