Center for Gifted Studies

The College of Education established its Center for Gifted Studies in 1998 to serve as a gifted education resource in the Murray State University Service Region. The Center, located at 3205 Alexander Hall, collaborates with pre-service and graduate education students, the School Psychology program, and other College of Education programs to provide services to parents and gifted children in the region. Its services include professional development programs for teachers, regional and international enrichment opportunities for gifted students during the academic year and summers, and informational and assessment services to parents.

The Center prepares teachers to promote excellence in gifted education through its Graduate Endorsement Program, available online, face-to-face with cohort groups, and through its online program in Spanish. It also houses the William O. Price Gifted Resource Collection and offers other special programs and events.
