AH/YNL students must first complete two core classes, one of which must be YNL 350 prior to applying for an internship. Internships can be done in any approved nonprofit organization. A list of some national, regional and local organizations for consideration may be obtained by e-mailing
robin.esau@murraystate.edu
The internship (YNL 400) counts as 6 credit hours, includes 300 hours at the internship site, and involves weekly reports, a midterm, final, and project portfolio. The AH Internship Packet may be purchased from the Murray State Bookstore. Internships have been completed as close as Murray and Lexington, Kentucky and as far away as Russia, Taiwan, Africa and Brazil to mention several sites.
