MSU Dietetics Accreditation and Credentialing

The Didactic Program in Dietetics is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association, 216 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL  60606, 312/899-4876.

The goals and outcomes of the Dietetics Program at MSU are as follows:

1.     To prepare graduates with foundation knowledge and skills needed to enter a supervised practice component of entry-level dietitian education programs.

 

2.     To prepare graduates to obtain employment in responsible positions in the areas of nutrition, dietetics, food service, food production, or to continue their education

 

3.     To contribute to the delivery of nutrition services in Kentucky as well as in other parts of the United States or the world by preparing nutrition professionals

 

4.     To provide leadership in dietetics through active participation by graduates and faculty in local, state, and national professional associations.
