RacerCard Office
Service Hours:
8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday

Care of the RacerCard
If taken care of properly, the RacerCard should last all four years at MSU. It should not be bent, scratched, and absolutely no holes punched in the card. It must be in good condition to enable the card readers to scan effectively.

The RacerCard office staff will be happy to re-encode the magnetic strip on the back of your card any time during the semester. By taking good care of your RacerCard, you will avoid paying the $12.50 replacement fee.

RacerCards are non-transferable. All cards will be picked up by Food Service cashiers and turned into the Food Service office if used by someone other than the owner.

Lost RacerCard
If you lose your RacerCard, your first action should be to report that it is lost. This can done at Winslow Dining Hall. Once you report that your card is lost (so no one else can use it), you will be given two meals (at Winslow) before you have to purchase a new RacerCard. The meals at Winslow are given only if you report the loss of your card.

If you lose your card after 2 pm on a Friday and report it lost, you may have up to four meals during the weekend period before purchasing a new card on Monday. If you find your card, you must go to the RacerCard Office to reactivate the card before it can be used again.

You may purchase a new card at the Cashier's Office on the second floor of Sparks Hall with cash, check or credit card. If you have a check or cash, you may purchase your new card in the RacerCard Office. If you purchase your new card at Sparks Hall, you will be given a receipt to take to the RacerCard Office. The actual card is made and issued in the RacerCard Office on the first floor of the Curris Center. Office hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. The charge for a new RacerCard is $12.50.
