Campus Recreation provides a program of sports activities to Murray State students, faculty, and staff of various skill levels and interests that promote healthy, active lifestyles and social development through these recreational opportunities.
Campus Recreation is a department within the Office of Student Affairs. Campus Recreation is responsible for the management of all recreational sports programming including intramural sports, sport clubs, and special events. Through these diverse competitive and recreational opportunities participants will build teamwork, collaboration, and leadership while promoting wellness.
Intramural sports offer students an opportunity to continue with their sports involvement or try a new sport. There are four separate divisions for most sports: Greek, Independent, Residential College and Recreational.
The Recreational League is designed for those teams that want a less competitive atmosphere. These teams are participating for the "fun of it." A six-team minimum is required for a recreational league to be formed. If interest does not warrant a recreational league, those teams will be put in the Independent League.
