The department of Modern Languages at Murray State offers majors and minors in French, German and Spanish,as well as a minor in Japanese. Students may also take courses in Chinese.

Students who have previously studied a language (in high school or abroad) may receive up to 12 hours of college credit for their knowledge and begin at a more appropriate level, saving time and money. For more information, please see the placement policy.
