MFA Student Publications
- Jack Cobb's poem "For Jennifer Sandovahl, Waitress at Two Medicine Grill" appeared in Read This. Jack's poem "Lifting the Fog" was published in Main Channel Voices. His essay "Out of Range" was published in The Red Clay Review, and "True Love and Paranoia in the Hermit Kingdom" appeared in The Summerset Review.
- Jeremy Byar's poem "Gutters" appeared in Poetry Midwest. "Part of the Job" appeared in Ariel, and "Vesper" in I-70. He has also written for the Gihon Review and The Ottowa Arts Review.
- Vince Twedell's short story "Up In Alaska" was published in the Louisville Eccentric Observer.
- Kevin Marshall Chopson's poems "Chocolate" and "The Purple" appeared in the May issue of English Journal. "Ode to Lemoncello," "Becoming Night in Pittsburgh, November 17, 2005," and "Coffee," appeared in Broad River Review.
- Leif Ericson Rigney's work appered in the book Standing on the Mountain, published by the Mountain Association of Community and Economic Development. Leif also wrote for Quarter After Eight.
- Greg Norton's book of short stories An Infinity of Days in the Psychotic Atomik Empire, was published by Plainview Press. Greg's book can also be pre-ordered from Amazon.com.
- Jenna Wright's poem "A Doubtful Phoenix" appeared in the Women Who Write anthology Calliope. Jenna read her work at the awards presentation in Louisville. Jenna's essay "Hope on I-40" took third place in the Knoxville Writers Guild Creative Nonfiction Essay Contest. Jenna's creative nonfiction piece "Unlimited Hope" was selected to be one of four readings at the South Atlantic Modern Language Association Conference in Atlanta.

Larry Dean's published poems for 2008 (so far!): "Emilee Is That You?" "Get Your Coupons for All of Your Pet Needs," "Miller Lite & Donuts," "Our Jeff Goldblum," and "Scooter's Old" all are published in Old City Cool. "Be Your Own Boss," "Confused about Vitamins," "How to Defend Your Elf," "Tom DeLay Explains His Mugshot to Himself," in The Statistics of Synchronicity: Writing Proven to Resonate. "Claim Money You Never Knew You Had," "The Funky Monkey Hug," "Footbinder's Dream," and "The Small Machine Is Working Again," in the anthology Why Vandalism. The journal Chicago Poetry published "A Tie Is a Beautiful Noose," "I Thought You Might Like This," and "Ubermarket."

Pamela Johnson Parker, recent MFA graduate, received a scholarship to the Sewanee Writers Conference this summer. Some recent publications include, 6S (fiction), Anti-, Chicago Cicada Haiku Chapbook, Power-Crazy General Saw Wei (chapbook from Anti-).

Chris Collins' poem, "Deployment: A Series of Haikus" has been accepted for publication in the English Journal.
- September 3, 2008 is the publication date for the book Images of America: West Ridge by Jacque E. Day, MFA candidate and program graduate assistant beginning Fall 2008. West Ridge is the follow-up title to Day's book about Chicago's northernmost neighborhood, Images of America: Rogers Park (2007). She co-authored both books with Jamie Santoro.
