    Mentors

    SSS features two mentoring programs:

SSS Mentors - upperclass students who are SSS students, serve as mentors to first year university students.  Mentors make contact with their students at least once a week for the first half of the fall semester.  After that, contact will vary.

    Mentors:
Acclimate students to the university and campus
    Serve as information disseminators
Encourage participation in SSS and campus activities
If you would like a mentor, or would like to serve as a mentor click here to send an e-mail message.

KTAP Mentors - are students receiving state assistance (KTAP) for themselves and their families while in college.  They volunteer up to 10 hours per week in the SSS office, serve as mentors to students with children, and assist with clerical duties in the office.  If you would like more information about being a KTAP Mentor click here to send an e-mail message.
