Murray State University is committed to providing a fire safe environment for all of the campus facilities.  In an effort to support this commitment all of Murray State University's major buildings are equipped with fire alarm systems and sprinkler systems.  In addition to the fixed fire protection equipment installed in the facilities; all buildings are also equipped with portable fire extinguishers.  The Office of Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) within the Department for Facilities Management oversees the installation of all new fire protection equipment and performs the required inspection and testing to assure that all fire protection equipment is in a reliable and functional state at all times.  A listing of fire protection equipment for each facility can be furnished upon request.
