The Quick Services Guide is a tool used to help inform you of the various
services the Department for Facilities Management provides. A listing of
these services in alphabetical order is as follows. Access Control is provided by the Department for Facilities Management. The department is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and control of all locking systems throughout the campus. This includes the access for almost 2,000 residential rooms, more than 3,000 academic and staff classroom and office doors and seven satellite facilities throughout the region. A request for keys or new locks is processed through a faxed memo stating the department’s name, account number, responsible person, phone number and key core number. This is a chargeable service. Facilities Management’s fax number is 809-6270. Repair to an inoperable lock should be reported to 809-4291 during normal working hours (7 a.m. – 4 p.m.). After-hours Service Calls are received through Public Safety from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m. This office is staffed to receive and act upon urgent service calls, which cannot wait until the next normal work day. The phone number is 809-2222. Air-Conditioning is provided by the Department for Facilities Management. Questions should be directed to the Associate Director for Building Maintenance at 809-4406. Improper operation of air-conditioning should be reported to 809-4291 during normal working hours (7 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and to 809-2222 during other periods. Architectural Design is available from Facilities Design and Construction. This consists of the development of architectural plans and specifications for construction of new projects and renovation projects. Architectural Programming is available from Facilities Design and Construction. This consists of the development of facilities for functional and space needs. Automotive Services are provided by the Transportation Services Division of the Department for Facilities Management at 809-4770. Boilers are inspected and tested under contract in compliance with State regulations. Building Coordinator should be assigned by the
Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services. |
