The
accounting honors society Beta Alpha Psi at Murray State
has selected David M. Dill for the 2009 Outstanding Accounting
Alumnus Award. This award is given to an alumnus who
has distinguished themselves in the field of accounting
and/or business and helped the college, department or chapter
in some significant way.
Dill
currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating
officer for LifePoint Hospitals, Inc., a leading hospital
company focused on providing healthcare services in non-urban
communities. LifePoint Hospitals’ non-urban operating
strategy offers continued operational improvement by focusing
on its five core values. He previously served as executive
vice president and chief financial officer.
Prior
to joining LifePoint, Dill served as executive vice president
of Fresenius Medical Care North America and as chief executive
officer in the East Division of Fresenius Medical Care Services. He
earlier served as executive vice president, chief financial
officer and treasurer of Renal Care Group, Inc., a publicly
traded dialysis services company, from November 2003 until
Renal Care Group was acquired by Fresenius Medical Care
in March 2006. He is also a director of Psychiatric Solutions,
Inc., a behavioral health services company.
An
honors graduate, Dill received his bachelor’s degree in
accounting from MSU in 1990 and entered public accounting
with Deloitte & Touche in Nashville prior to joining
Renal Care. He met his wife, Ashley, a 1989 MSU graduate,
while at Murray State . They have one daughter Evanne, 13,
and one son, Watson, 9. He serves on the board of Kids
Across America, a non-profit Christian Sports Camp ministry.
Dill and his family reside in Old Hickory, Tenn.
