MSUAA
Connects Alumni
through
Online Social Network

The
Murray State University Alumnin Association recently launched
The Murray State Circle, a new social network offered exclusively
to MSU alumni. The network will provide an online forum where
MSU's 55,000-plus alumni can build and maintain personal and professional
connections with other alums.
Circle
empowers MSU alumni to connect with friends and friends-of-friends
in a trusted and secure online community. Unlike online social
networks that are open to the general public, Circle is a private-label
network that requires identity verification before before alumni
members can join. Alumni information is pre-populated, making
it easy for users to build profiles and decide what information
is available to other alums. The network grows with each new authenticated
member who invites more alumni into the exclusive community.
"Online
social networks have become a convenient and engaging way for
groups to communicate," said Sabrina Mathis, coordinator
for MSU alumni support services. "We're pleased to not only
offer MSU alumni the benefits of networking with each other online,
but also the security only a private-label network can provide."
The
MSU Circle community is powered by Affinity Engines, the leading
provider of private-label networking solutions for alumni associations.
MSU alumni can login or register for the Murray State Circle by
visiting murraystate.affinitycircles.com.
Once on the network, alumni participants can communicate through
messaging, photo albums and blogs, reconnect with classmates or
groups, participate in forum discussions and make professional
connections. Alumni can also use the search capability to find
other alumni who share interests, common acquaintances, professions,
locations and more.
