Racer Road Show
Making memories with MSU friends

Racer Roadshow 2003 kicked off the summer tour at Muhlenberg County
on June 17. Murray State University representatives from athletics, alumni affairs, school relations, career services and academic colleges traveled around the region to greet fellow friends and alumni.
Guests enjoyed refreshments and received MSU mementos and memorabilia as door prizes.

Incoming freshmen and their parents along with friends of the university were able to meet and talk with alumni and university officials.
Several alumni chapters host these annual summer events to welcome the incoming freshmen and communicate with alumni and friends.

Homecoming
"Living the Racer Life"

October 18, 2003
Murray State University

Make plans to attend Murray State’s
homecoming festivities on Oct. 17-18.
This year’s grand marshal of the 62nd Homecoming Parade is
Kristi Phillips Rowan, a 1987 fashion merchandising graduate.

An Alpha Omicron Pi alumna, Rowan is founder and publisher of MidSouth Living, a local home and garden magazine with a circulation of 35,000, based in Memphis, Tenn. Rowan is highlighting Murray State University’s attractive campus and last year’s Homecoming activities in the upcoming Sept./Oct. 2003 issue of MidSouth Living. Rowan said the article showcases MSU’s greatest assets and traditions, which “combines Ivy League tradition with down-to-earth character on a gorgeous campus.”

Many events are planned for Homecoming that include a golf and tennis tournament on Friday Oct. 17. Events will continue on Saturday, Oct. 18, with the homecoming parade
beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Alumni are invited to visit the Alumni
Center Open House from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Tent City Homecoming festival will begin at 11 a.m. in the grassy area of Roy Stewart Stadium and will continue until 2:30 p.m. prior to the 3 p.m. game against Eastern Illinois University.
