and
Annual
Fire Safety Report 2009
For
three-quarters of a century Murray State University has served students
from the region, the nation, and the world. Founded in 1922, the University
has grown from an enrollment of 202 students to over 10,000. The University
has consistently been ranked among the top 25 percent of Southern regional
and liberal arts colleges in U.S. News & World Report’s
annual publication, America ’s Best Colleges.
The
safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors are
always our first priority. With the support of other departments and
agencies, we continuously strive to keep our campus safe and secure.
However, a truly safe campus can only be achieved through the cooperation
of all students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We hope you will read
this information carefully and use it to help foster a safe environment
for yourself and others on campus. We are proud to say we are among
the safest university communities.
