Management and Marketing Club
The Management and Marketing Club has already had a very
productive year. On September 4, 2007, our guest speaker
was Jay Darren, owner and manager of Mugsy’s Hideout. Mr. Darren spoke on the challenges
of opening and managing a new business. On October 9, 2007, Kyle McClure,
Director of Marketing for Murray State University Athletics, addressed
our organization about the marketing applications in collegiate and professional
sports. In his discussion, Mr. McClure emphasized the importance of synergy
among all members of the athletic staff. In addition, our club sold Mugsy’s
Hideout pizza at Murray State’s Homecoming on October 13, 2007,
as a fundraising activity for attending the upcoming American
Marketing Association Student Conference in St. Louis in
