Howard Hyuck Award

 


From the Weakly County Press

        The Howard Hyuck Outstanding High School Chemistry Award of the Kentucky Lake Section of ACS was presented to Christina Thurston, Reidland High School, Reidland, KY, at the University of Tennessee during the National Chemistry Week program that including demonstrations by student affiliates of ACS from UTM, Bethel, Union University, Lambuth College and Murray State University.
        KLS-ACS president-elect Dr. Joszef Devenyi of UTM, awards chair Dr. Harry Conley of MSU, Christina Thurston, president Dr. Harry Fannin from Murray and secretary/treasurer J. Brent Montgomery of Palmersville are in the picture above. At the meeting Dr. J. Ricky Cox was voted chair-elect, J. Brent Montgomery was re-elected as secretary/treasure and  Dr. S. K. Airee was re-elected for 3 year term as Councilor.
