ABSTRACT

Historically the Eastman Kodak Company has been a worldwide leader in photography, including a particularly strong position in the entertainment industry.  Today, Kodak's Entertainment Imaging business unit is expanding its role, transitioning from traditional products to hybrid/digital products and services.  Dr. Wallis will describe the role of Entertainment Imaging's Research and Development Division.  After a brief tutorial on color photography, he will discuss some of Kodak's technology directions for the entertainment marketplace.  Sprinkled throughout the presentation will be comments regarding his own personal transition from bench chemist to technology manager.
