The Master of Science graduate program in chemistry is designed to prepare the student for further academic work or for immediate employment in the chemical industry. We have been quite successful in placing our graduates in both of these areas. Our students gain "hands-on" experience with research tools including GC/MS, AA, NMR and FT-NMR, IR, UV/VIS, HPLC, molecular modeling and other modern analytical techniques. Active research is conducted in diverse areas of both pure and applied research ranging from the study of novel reaction mechanisms to the analysis of environmental pollutants.
