Permanent Exhibition on Display at MSU
History of Science, Engineering, and Technology

New this fall in the Industry and Technology Building is the History of Science Exhibit featured above the Dean's Office in the NW Rotunda. Rachel Trussell, a junior at Murray State, coordinated with the dean and the departmental chairs to compile an abbreviated history of all the disciplines in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology at Murray State University.

The exhibit features banners that list some of the major discoveries, inventions, and schools of thought throughout modern history. Additionally, each department has a visual exhibit of equipment and materials, which have influenced each respective discipline. The project, completed August 21, 2001, was designed to give school-aged children an idea of how science and technology have changed and will continue to change. The exhibit will give students an idea of how far the human race has advanced scientifically over time.

Please feel free to stop by and observe the exhibit. School groups may be scheduled by contacting the Office of the Dean, College of Science, Engineering, and Technology - 270-762-3391, or (toll free) -- 1-888-886-5715
