![]() Leasure Receives Regent's Teaching Award Lynn Leasure was selected as one of the 2002-2003 recipients of the Board of Regent's Teaching Award from the College of Science, Engineering and Technology. The award is traditionally based on classroom performance, concern for students, and academic advising. |
Lynn has long had a reputation as an effective and innovative teacher utilizing computer technology and on-line strategies to enhance student learning. She plays a key role in the departmental instructional efforts for both the Geoscience majors and university studies courses. She has most recently collaborated with Dr. Tom Lough from the College of Education in Science 101 an interdisciplinary, inquiry-based course designed for education majors. Another of her innovative teaching initiatives is the On-line Weather and Climate course; a very successful course administered in cooperation with the American Meteorological Society and the Department of Geosciences. |
