Dr.
Ed Thome Dr. Ed Thome was selected as the 2001-2002 recipient of the Board of Regents' Teaching Award from the College of Science, Engineering and Technology. The award is based on classroom performance, concern for students, and academic advising. |
Dr. Thome, a Kansas native, joined the faculty in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in 1991 after receiving a Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Kansas State University. Dr. Thome is known as a dedicated and effective teacher. He shows a genuine concern for student learning by being available to students and for his careful preparation and presentation of the course material. He demands a lot from his students and, because he is such a good teacher, they strive to achieve the high standards he sets for them. |
