How and when do I schedule?
After meeting with your
advisor, you will schedule using RACER-TOUCH
during your assigned time or any time thereafter. You choose your
classes from the Schedule
of Classes or
Murray State Bulletins found at various locations on campus. See the University
Calendar
for registration dates and times.

How is my classification for scheduling determined?
Classification is
determined by the number of semester hours earned that are
currently on file in the Admissions and Registrar’s Office. It does
not include attempted hours for the current semester.

To maintain full-time status, you must drop and add at the same time.

What happens if I drop below full-time and I don’t live in housing or
have financial aid?
There is no penalty for
dropping below full-time*. To maintain full-time status, you
must drop and add at the same time. Refer to the

*NOTE: It is the sole
responsibility of each student to know and comply with all special
course or enrollment requirements of specific organizations, services or
programs that include, but are not limited to, the following: Athletics,
Department of Social Services, Financial Aid, Fraternities, Honors
Program, Housing, Immigration, Insurance, JTPA, Scholarships,
Sororities, Student Employment, Teacher Education, Veterans’ Services,
and Vocational Rehabilitation.

How many hours do I need to become a sophomore, junior, or senior?
You have to earn 30
semester hours to become a sophomore, 60 hours for junior status, and 90
hours for senior status.

What do I do?

If you have an approved Permission
Form for an
override or audit, you must bring that written permission to the
Registration Office on the 1st Floor of Sparks Hall.
