Being a Nurse in the Army provides you with opportunities not found in the civilian world.  As an Army Nurse and Officer, you will have the respect of your peers and coworkers, as well as opportunities to train and serve in a variety of specialties.

Nursing Scholarships:

Army ROTC Nursing scholarships will pay up to $20,000 per year for tuition. You will also receive $450 per semester for books and the ROTC stipend. This stipend is based on the education level:

  • Freshman- $300/month
  • Sophomore- $350/month
  • Junior- $450/month
  • Senior- $500/month

The scholarship will also pay for any required fees for the Nursing department.

This may include fees such as CPR certification, required immunization, liability insurance and any others required. The scholarship pays for your NCLEX study guide and the actual NCLEX itself.

Once you are a Registered Nurse, then you will attend the Nurse Officer Basic  Course where you will use what you have learned at Murray State and apply it to a military hospital. There are many opportunities to get into many different specialty areas as well.
