REGIONAL SPECIAL EVENTS CENTER
The Regional Special Events Center is an 8,500 seat multi-purpose arena
located on the campus of Murray State University in Murray,
Kentucky. The venue is the home of Racer Men's and Women's
basketball and also plays host to a variety of concerts, family shows,
conventions, consigment sales, sports tournaments, and other events
during the year. The RSEC prides itself on providing quality
entertainment in a safe and well-maintained facility. For more

PROCEDURE
Information regarding the
availability
of the Regional Special Events Center can be obtained by calling the
administrative office at (270) 809-5577.
Upon request, dates will be held on a First Hold, Second Hold, and
Third Hold basis.
Murray
State University reserves the right to require a deposit for a
held date upon
execution
of a contract. Use may be denied to any
individual, group, organization or
event
that does not represent the best interests of Murray State University.
POLICIES AND
PROCEDURES
RENTAL FEE
$1,750 per day, vs. 12% of gross ticket sales for publicly ticketed
events, whichever is greater. This includes in-house sound; house
lighting; dressing
facilities
and normal custodial service. Registration
space
is provided when available.
ELECTRICAL SERVICE
At cost of purchaser events may be
required to have
an MSU electrician present from load-in
to
load-out.
FOOD
AND BEVERAGE
No outside food or beverage may be
brought to the building. All food
and drink items served in the Regional
Special
Events Center must be provided by Murray State
Food Services. Four
concession
stands are available and MSU Food Service reserves
the right to determine the
number
of concession stands needed per event.

General Public – Roy Stewart Stadium
Athletic Donors – Parking Lot located outside of quad B and quad
C parking lots

*Please note the RSEC Parking lots may be closed due to pending events,
such as sporting events, concerts and other events.
SECURITY CHECKS
For patron safety, all bags are subject to search upon entrance to
the facility.
NON-PROFIT RATE
A non-profit rate is available to local groups with current
Kentucky
State
Tax Exempt number.

Patrons in need of special
accomodations or assistance are encouraged to contact the RSEC office,
at (270) 809-5577, Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, for
information on accessible features.
