Scholarship applications are available online beginning October 1st and can be accessed by selecting the link "Apply for Scholarships Online" to the left.
Current MSU students can access their online application via myGate on the Financial Aid tab.
Murray State University has numerous academic and leadership scholarship opportunities. To be considered, students must apply online every year. The deadline for application for all undergraduate (high school seniors, current college students, transfer students) and graduate students is January 15th each year.
To be competitive, it is recommended to have a 25 ACT, a 3.2 GPA and leadership responsibilities. College level work should be with a 3.0 GPA or better.
Competitive scholarships are not awarded until after the application deadline. Please take your time to submit a thorough, complete application.
Scholarships are very competitive. If you do not follow directions or complete all requirements of the application process, you may be eliminated from the selection process.
Awards are generally made by March 15th. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be asked to accept your scholarship by May 1st, which is the National Scholarship Acknowledgement deadline.
