Non-traditional student scholarships Deadline: June 1

Update: Scholarship committees will be making scholarship selections throughout March.  Award emails/letters will be sent to students by the first week of April.

Scholarships are available online now and can be accessed by selecting the link "Apply for Scholarships Online" to the left.

Current MSU students can access their online application via myGate on the Money tab. Please note that current students are also being required to submit a resume/list of activities in addition to the online scholarhship application.

Murray State University has numerous academic and leadership scholarship opportunities. To be considered, students must apply online every year. The deadline for application for all undergraduate (high school seniors, current college students, transfer students) and graduate students is January 15 each year.

To be competitive, it is recommended to have a 25 ACT, a 3.2 GPA and leadership responsibilities. Provide a resume and one letter of recommendation. College level work should be with a 3.0 GPA or better.

Competitive scholarships are not awarded until after the application deadline. Please take your time to submit a thorough, complete application.

Scholarships are very competitive. If you do not follow directions or complete all requirements of the application process, you may be eliminated from the selection process.

PLEASE NOTE: When applying online, you can only apply once. If you apply more than once, it deletes your previous application. If you need to make changes, please email us at scholarship.office@murraystate.edu and we will make the changes for you.

Awards are generally made by April 1. If you are awarded a scholarship, you will be asked to accept your scholarship by May 1, which is the National Scholarship Acknowledgement deadline.
