| The Office of Financial Aid/Scholarships is still in the process of awarding scholarships for the 2009-2010 academic year and anticipates having scholarships awarded by April 10. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but do appreciate your patience as we finish the awarding process. If you are awarded a scholarship through Murray State University, you will need to accept the award by May 1 on your MyGate account, which you can access at http://campus.murraystate.edu/mygate/login.html. You should have received your MyGate log-in information via letter or email. If you have questions regarding your MyGate log-in information, please contact the MSU Help Desk at (270) 809-2346. New Scholarship Deadline: January 15 Murray State University has numerous academic and leadership scholarship opportunities. To be considered, students must apply online every year. The deadline for application for all undergraduate (high school seniors, current college students, transfer students) and graduate students is January 15 each year. Applications and information are now available online. High School students must either apply online or download an application from the Office of University Scholarships website. To be competitive, you should have a 25 ACT, a 3.2 GPA and leadership responsibilities. Provide a resume and one letter of recommendation from a school official. College level work should be with a 3.0 GPA or better. Upperclassmen may access the online application. 2009-2010 Scholarship booklets will be available November 1, 2008. Read and follow all directions very carefully. Scholarships are very competitive. If you do not follow directions or complete all requirements of the application process, you may be eliminated from the selection process. PLEASE NOTE: When applying online, you can only apply once. If you apply more than once, it deletes your previous application. If you need to make changes, please email us at scholarship.office@murraystate.edu and we will make the changes for you. Online applications are available by November 1 each year. Awards are generally made by April 1. Scholarship recipients will receive a written notification. May 1 is the National Scholarship Acknowledgement deadline. If you do not want to apply online, you may download a paper copy of the application. |
