Academic Achievement Scholarships

Academic Achievement Scholarships are first-come, first-served scholarships awarded after being admitted to Murray State University as an incoming Freshman.

Academic Achievement Scholarships are awarded for eight consecutive semesters (summers excluded) or until
the Bachelor’s degree is obtained, whichever occurs first. Renewability requires the following:

  • Maintain a 3.2 cumulative MSU GPA
  • Complete service hour requirements if receiving a Trustee, Regents, or Provost Scholarship
  • Participate in the Honors Program if receiving a Trustee Scholarship

Academic Achievement Scholarship awards may be revised if additional grades or test scores are submitted to the
Undergraduate Admissions Office by January 15 and the student notifies the Office of Financial Aid/Scholarships that new
grade or test score information has been submitted.

Students will receive only one Academic Achievement Scholarship.

ALL competitive University scholarships for incoming freshmen require a separate scholarship application that must be submitted by January 15. Please see the reverse side for further competitive scholarship information.
