What is the Senior Class Gift?
The Senior Class Gift is your opportunity to give back to Murray State University and show that you realize how important it is to support MSU. In the past, graduating seniors have given thousands of dollars in support of programming at the university. These students have left a legacy of excellent programming and resources for future students—including you.

Why should I participate in the Senior Class Gift?
If you believe that the experience of being a Racer has and will continue to have a positive impact upon your life and if you want to make sure that future students have the same great experience, then you can do so by participating in your Senior Class Gift.

How much should I give?
Every senior is being asked to give $20.08, in honor of your graduation year, to this year's campaign. We are also asking seniors to consider making a pledge of $20.08 each year for 5 years, a total of $100.40. While the majority of gifts will be at this level, we often receive gifts of $50 and even $100. Any amount helps your university. We want our seniors to participate at any level that is comfortable for them.

Why does my participation matter?
Your contribution obviously benefits the students who will follow you. In addition, your support impacts MSU's national rankings. These rankings are partially based on the rate of alumni support. These rankings add value to your degree. Your support of Murray State University will count! In addition, tuition, fees and state money cover only a portion of the entire MSU budget. Support from alumni helps us to make up the difference. Alumni giving played a role in your experience at MSU.

 

 

Where will the money go?
Donors to the Senior Gift Program will have the chance to choose one of the following possible areas for the Senior Gift to be used.

• Helping to make MSU 100% wireless
• Campus beautification: Benches, trees, etc.
• Adding Recycling Bins
