Feminism
“The day will come when men will recognize woman as his peer, not only at the fireside, but in councils of the nation. Then, and not until then, will there be the perfect comradeship, the ideal union between the sexes that shall result in the highest development of the race." — Susan B. Anthony
What is Feminism? Not only do I want to tell what feminism is, but I also want to tell you what it is not. On a fundamental level, it is about gender equality (social, political, and economic) - a movement that recognizes that the patterns of the treatment of women operate on a huge, societal level. Not all feminists agree why this inequality exists or what should be done to fix it. This disagreement is good though. It breeds a wonderful, varied body of theory and often intertwines with other disciplines. *Feminism seeks to include ALL women. Feminism is PRO-WOMAN; BUT this does not mean that it is anti-family, anti-male, anti-children, or anti-faith. It is also NOT PRO-ABORTION. These are all very common misconceptions about the feminist movement.

Interesting
Despite the fact that more women are working and attaining higher-paying managerial and professional jobs, there are still many more women than men in low-paying jobs. The average weekly earnings of women who work full-time is only 75 cents for ever dollar earned by men.
