Safe Zone Project

Safe Zone logo

Safe Zone training provides faculty, staff, and students with an opportunity to explore their understanding and perceptions of the LGBTQ+ community, while offering a safe space to ask questions and gain knowledge. At Murray State, our focus is on creating a welcoming campus culture that fosters the success and growth of all students through developing allies across campus.

Safe Zone Online Module

Beginning Fall 2021, Safe Zone 1.0 will be offered online through Canvas. This training will cover basic vocabulary and concepts in module 1. Module 2 (Coming Soon) will introduce participants to the basics of allyship.

Register for the Safe Zone 1.0 Canvas course.

Ally Hour

Ally Hour will provide a monthly space for faculty and staff to engage in ally centered discussion. This will be an open forum for questions and discussion providing individuals with the opportunity to learn from one another and ask questions in a safe space.

Register for Ally Hour updates!
