The Honors College got off to a quick start for the year. Thirty-four students came to Brandon Spring Group Camp at Land Between the Lakes July 31 - August 2 for Honors Prime, an optional retreat for incoming students; students particularly had fun with the murder mystery activity. On August 7 - 9, we hosted 15 incoming students for the Presidential Fellows Retreat, also at Brandon Spring; the highlight was canoeing and lake swimming. Honors students moved into their residential colleges on August 12th, and we had Honors 101 for all the new students the next day. The Honors Student Council held an ice cream social to celebrate all new students on Monday, August 15th, and classes started the 16th. This is a great incoming Honors class; they are settling in well to Murray State.
