Application to BSN Program

Any student interested in applying for admission to the Baccalaureate program must make an advisement appointment with a member of the nursing faculty. Interested students should contact their assigned adviser for an appointment. If an individual does not have an adviser or needs information regarding their adviser's contact information, call the nursing department office at 270.809.2193 for information or a walk-in advising appointment.

Annual TB Screening Requirement

Information update regarding changes to the Annual TB Screening Requirement:

Students admitted to the nursing program and all applicants will provide a completed Annual Risk Assessment which will include either the Two Step Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) or the Blood Assay for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (BAMT) results and actions taken. The Annual Risk Assessment form will be available online with other nursing admission application forms (see below).

Please be aware the Two Step Tuberculin Skin Test takes up to two weeks to complete all steps. All steps MUST be completed and results in hand prior to clinicals.

If you are up to date at present you will need to complete one of the above when your annual TB screening is due and at any future annual TB screening.

An Annual Risk Assessment form will be available on the Murray State School of Nursing BSN Website.

Please direct any questions pertaining to TB screening to Mrs. Fowler, ASAC Chair.
