Calendars are subject to change as deemed necessary in the judgment of the University's administration.

Meeting deadlines
It is your responsibility to register, drop classes, add classes, file appeals or withdraw from school. No one else (advisor, professor, or friend) can do those for you. You must meet the deadlines listed below. Plan ahead when possible to avoid any delays or issues. In the event of a crisis (major accident, illness, etc.) contact the Office of the Registrar.

Apply to Graduate Deadlines and Commencement Dates
All students must submit an application (via myGate, Academics tab) and pay the graduation fee in order to receive a degree and a diploma.
Undergraduate Application Deadlines:
- March 1 for August applicants
- April 1 for December applicants
- October 1 for Winter applicants
- November 1 for May applicants
Graduate Application Deadlines:
- February 15 for May applicants
- March 15 for August applicants
- September 15 for December applicants
- October 15 for Winter applicants

Grade Change Deadlines
- September 15: Last day to submit a grade appeal for a Spring or Summer course.
- September 15: Last day to request a Spring or Summer grade change due to a computation or submission error.
- October 15: Last day to change a Spring or Summer grade of I (Incomplete).
- February 15: Last day to submit a grade appeal for a Fall or Winter course.
- February 15: Last day to request a Fall or Winter grade change due to a computation or submission error.
- March 15: Last day to change a Fall or Winter grade of I (Incomplete).

Terms to know
Dropping, adding and auditing courses may affect your financial aid, scholarships and/or tuition costs. Be sure to check with Student Financial Services before changing your schedule. It's also a good idea to talk to your academic advisor, changing your schedule can impact your progess toward your degree.
Audit a course
Auditing a course means you won't receive a grade or credit for the course. You can still attend the class to learn more about the topic but you won't be graded for your work. Audited courses are listed on your transcript as NC (no credit). To audit a course, you must submit the instructor signed form by the deadline for your session to the Office of the Registrar, 113 Sparks Hall, msu.registration@ murraystate.edu.
Drop a course
When you drop a course, you can no longer attend and the course will be removed from your schedule. If you drop a course before the deadline to "drop without a grade" the course will be listed on your transcript as NC (no credit). If you decide to drop a course after the "drop without a grade" deadline and before the the "last day to drop" deadline, the course will be listed on your transcript as W (withdrawn).

- September 5: Labor Day - Classes dismissed, offices closed.
- October 6-7: Fall Break - Classes dismissed, offices closed.
- November 15: Senior Breakfast for all December 2022 baccalaureate and graduate degree candidates.
- November 23-25: Thanksgiving - Offices closed.

- September 14: Last day to apply for a residency tuition change for this semester.
