Why did you decide to study outside of your home country?

I have always seen myself as active and more flexible person in new environments. And I always have hunger to know new things. For this I wanted myself to expose internationally. And this has turned into good decision for me. I am getting things that I deserve.

How did you choose Murray State University?

After I came to know that Murray State University has international students from more than 76 different countries I guess. I started thinking about it. After researching and consulting about this University with advisors, teachers and peers I found it as best place for me both academically and socially. Environment is safe and people are so kind.

Why did you choose to study computer science?

Luckily, I was able to play with computers when I was kid. I used to spend my childhood days surfing internet and playing video games. As I grew up, I saw myself into this and thought to start career in computer science being game developer.

What do you enjoy most about being a student at Murray State University?

I see myself as extrovert. The thing I love about Murray State University is its environment where you will never think that you are far from home. People are helpful. I believe the best source of knowledge and leadership is experience. Studying at Murray State University has been a great experience for me.

What is your favorite thing about Murray State University?

Student organizations and sports activities are my favorite thing here.

How is studying in the USA different than Nepal?

I found it completely different. Ratio of student to teacher is very low. Teacher uses different technology for better understanding. We can involve more with faculty joining organizations. Teachers focuses more on creativity and try to make you involve more as possible.

What do you plan to do after you graduate from Murray State University?

I came here to expand my vision. After I graduate, I will try to use and express my vision by joining some companies for a while. I need this because for me experience is best source of knowledge. And I need knowledge to do something for my country and to bring change in it.

What was the biggest challenge that you faced as a new student?

The biggest challenge that I faced was accent of English language. I knew English and could talk and speak but accent was main problem.

What would you tell students in Nepal who want to study in the US?

I would say that they should know information about US universities. Which means they should ask their advisor and try to make clear yourself by collecting good information. Asking friend who are studying here will be better option.

Are you a member of any clubs or student organizations?

Yes, I am. I am involved in Association of Computer Machinery (ACM), Residential College Council of Hart (Hart RCC), International Student Organization (ISO), Nepali Student Organization (NSC) [NSC is not official but we do fun stuffs and gathering] and few more.
